Private Lessons

These lessons are taught one on one in the privacy of your home at a time convenient for you.

BASIC OBEDIENCE TRAINING

For one hour each week (4 lessons) we work with you and your dog one on one while  applying the training to real world situations.   This course includes:

· Heel--your dog will walk right beside you, not pulling, lagging, or lunging
· Sit, Automatic Sit--when heeling, if you stop, your pup sits
· Stay--your dog will remain in the same spot in the same position
· Come When Called--Fido will come to you, with or without being distracted
· Down--from standing, sitting or walking into the laying position
· Leave the room--for safety or convenience

Basic problems such as nipping, housetraining, barging through doors and jumping will be addressed.

DELUXE TRAINING PROGRAM

Designed for dogs that want or need more than the basics, we work with you once a week for seven lessons.  Your dog will learn a total of eleven different obedience commands on leash from a thirty foot distance.  This intensive course also includes more difficult problems such as aggression, chewing and digging.  This includes:

· Heel
· Sit, Automatic Sit
· Stay
· Come
· Down
· Drop it
· Stand
· Leave the room
· Go to your place
· Emergency down
· On your back

If any of the programs do not fit your needs or budget, give us a call, we can custom tailor the program that is right for you!

Boarding and Training

For those with time constraints, our boarding and training program is a great solution. The following is the curriculum for boarding school.  Your dog will be living in a home environment instead of a kennel environment.

Heel – Imagine walking down the street past other dogs and children and your dog is walking next to you on a loose leash.

Automatic-sit - When you stop walking your dog will sit without being told.

Sit-Stay – You can put your dog in a sit-stay for up to three minutes, walk away and she will stay where you left her even with distractions, i.e. children running past.

Come – Your dog will come to you the first time you call her from a thirty-foot distance.

Down-Stay – Your dog will stay while laying down for up to five minutes even with distractions such as other dogs, even if she can not see you.

Down & Emergency Down – If you’re out walking your dog and she manages to get loose, you can give this command to keep your dog safe from being hit by a car.

Leave the Room – If you drop a glass, for example, and you want your dog to leave the area, she will do that.

Kennel – If you want her to go to her bed/place/kennel she will.

On Your Back – If you want to check your dog for fleas, she will roll over on her back for you.  There are additional first aid benefits to this as well.

Stand-Stay – Ideal for brushing and bathing.

Drop-It – If your dog picks up something like a child’s toy, she will drop it when you tell her.

No – If you tell her not to do something, such as jump on the furniture, she will stop.

Calming signals and techniques are also taught in this course.

We introduce off-leash training as well as learning how to behave both at home and in social environments.  Any and all problems will be addressed such as housetraining, jumping, nipping, digging and barking, or any other specific issues.
